Elim Chew is an inspirational business woman that believes the young generation is our future and that we have to equip them for what’s coming. Elim retired from her successful retail business in 2016 and she now enjoys spending her time reaching out and mentoring youth, aspiring social entrepreneurs and sharing her experiences in schools and companies around the globe. She is currently building her own youtube channel: elimchewtv (link above) where it features changemakers who have made a positive impact on society.

What does the word legendary mean to you?

Someone who leaves a legacy that is remembered and admired.

What do you consider are qualities of a legendary woman?

Live a life of significance and meaning. Selflessly doing things that leave a positive impact in people, and inspiring others to do the same, to create a better world.

What other women do you consider to be legendary?

Mother Theresa and Florence Nightingale.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned so far?

No one ever fails. The day they fail is the day they gave up.

Tell me a fun fact about you.

I travel around the world in hopes to inspire people to live a life of significance, and to fish! Fishing makes me happy as I enjoy the process of anticipating a fish and the excitement/sense of accomplishment when I finally land one.

What is your favorite quality about yourself?

Willingness to share and mentor, if people are keen to learn.

God

What is your biggest accomplishment?

To have built a streetwear fashion business with 16 stores at its peak, and then finally letting it go after 28 years to focus on giving back to the community. My aim for the next 30 years is to build a community of 1 million changemakers to impact 1 billion lives.

What is success to you?

I will want to focus on living a life of significance instead of success, to inspire one at a time, and to impact and change lives one at a time.
